Between the Sheets

IBA

A Prohibition-era creation attributed to Harry MacElhone in Paris, this cocktail draws from the same family as the Sidecar but introduces white rum alongside Cognac for a more spirited and slightly tropical complexity. The interplay between the rum's sugarcane sweetness, the brandy's dried fruit depth, and Cointreau's orange brightness is kept honest by a hit of lemon juice, making it sharper and more assertive than its playful name implies.
