Gin Fizz

A bright, effervescent member of the Fizz family: London dry gin shaken with lemon juice and a touch of sugar, then lengthened with soda water for a clean, refreshing lift. Popularized across America between 1900 and the 1940s as a New Orleans favorite, it remains the template from which countless variations — Silver, Golden, and the labor-intensive Ramos — descend. Served tall and cold, it drinks like a sour set loose with bubbles.
