Paradise

IBA

A product of the golden age of cocktail invention, the Paradise cocktail dates to the 1920s and appears in Harry Craddock's influential 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book. Gin provides the botanical foundation while apricot brandy weaves in stone-fruit sweetness and orange juice adds a bright citrus acidity that keeps the drink from becoming cloying. It occupies a graceful middle ground between the sharp sophistication of a classic gin sour and the lush fruitiness of a tropical drink.
