Corpse Reviver #2

Part of a family of early 20th-century "hair of the dog" drinks, the Corpse Reviver #2 was catalogued by Harry Craddock in the 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book with the warning that four consumed in quick succession would "unrevive the corpse again." Equal parts gin, Cointreau, Lillet Blanc, and lemon juice create a perfectly balanced sour, with a rinse of absinthe adding an anise-scented ghost that haunts each sip.
