Grand Margarita

A Margarita built around Grand Marnier in place of plain triple sec, trading the standard's bright snap for a deeper, Cognac-rounded orange warmth. The IBA codified the 3:2:1 build of blanco tequila, Grand Marnier, and fresh lime in its 2024 New Era list, shaken hard and served over ice in a salt-rimmed rocks glass. Often called the Cadillac Margarita, it's the genre's upmarket cousin: still tart and agave-forward, but richer through the finish.
