Paper Plane

IBA

Conceived by bartender Sam Ross around 2007 and named after the M.I.A. track, the Paper Plane is a rare modern cocktail built on a precise equal-parts formula. Bourbon provides the whiskey backbone while Aperol contributes bittersweet orange notes and Amaro Nonino brings a rich, honeyed herbal complexity, all pulled into sharp focus by fresh lemon juice. The result is a drink that manages to be simultaneously bitter, sweet, sour, and boozy without any single element dominating.
