El Presidente

Havana's answer to the Martini, the El Presidente was the drink of Cuban high society in the 1920s — white rum stirred with dry vermouth, a blush of orange curaçao, and the merest suggestion of grenadine. Dry, elegant, and unmistakably tropical.
