Scofflaw

Born in Paris during Prohibition as a toast to American lawbreakers who defied the Volstead Act, the Scofflaw pairs rye whiskey with dry vermouth, tart lemon, and grenadine into a bracingly sour, ruddy drink. The name was a prize-winning coinage for "contemptuous law violator."
