The national drink of Martinique is the simplest possible expression of rhum agricole's grassy, funky terroir — a squeeze of lime, a spoonful of cane sugar, and an ounce or two of agricole stirred in the glass. Each drinker composes their own to taste, a ritual called "chacun prépare sa propre mort."
