Trader Vic's 1946 creation combines tequila with cassis's berry richness, lime, and spicy ginger beer in a tall, refreshing highball that predates the Moscow Mule and the Dark 'n' Stormy as an early entry in the spirit-plus-ginger genre. Named for the devil — deceptively easy to drink.
