Jägerbomb

A bomb shot made by dropping a shot of Jägermeister into a glass of energy drink, the herbal liqueur surging up through the caffeinated fizz. It appeared in the late 1990s — by most accounts around 1997, possibly in Northern California, just as Red Bull was reaching American bars — reworking the old boilermaker idea by trading the beer for an energy drink. Through the 2000s it became a fixture of bars and nightclubs, ordered for momentum more than nuance.
