Buttery Nipple

The Buttery Nipple is a two-ingredient layered shooter: butterscotch schnapps weighted to the bottom of the glass with a float of Irish cream resting on top, drinking like vanilla-caramel pudding. It emerged from the 1980s wave of sweet novelty shots — the dessert-leaning cousin of the Slippery Nipple, which swaps the schnapps for anise-forward sambuca. Served chilled and neat, it is built to be tossed back rather than sipped.
