Fish House Punch

One of America's oldest cocktails, served at Philadelphia's State in Schuylkill fishing club since 1732 — Cognac, peach brandy, and rum with lemon and a touch of tea create a punch that is simultaneously civilized and dangerously drinkable. George Washington reportedly suffered a three-day absence after encountering it.
