Horsefeather

A whiskey highball that reads like the Horse's Neck's Midwestern cousin: rye spirit lengthened with ginger beer, brightened by a squirt of lemon, and grounded by a generous three dashes of Angostura. It surfaced in the bars of Lawrence, Kansas in the 1990s and remains a signature pour across the Kansas City region. The name borrows 1920s slang for "nonsense" — fitting for a drink whose exact origins nobody can pin down.
