A bright, tiki-era riff on the Daiquiri: white rum and fresh lime sharpened with triple sec and a measured pour of maraschino liqueur, shaken hard and served up. The maraschino adds a nutty, cherry-pit perfume that lifts it somewhere between a Daiquiri and a Margarita. Its origin is contested — claimed for both Don the Beachcomber and Trader Vic — with an early printed recipe surfacing in Patrick Gavin Duffy's 1956 manual.
