A Southern highball built on Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey, brightened with triple sec and a fresh sour, then lengthened with a generous pour of lemon-lime soda over ice. It drinks long, fizzy, and easygoing — sweet-tart citrus carrying just enough whiskey backbone. Tony Mason created and named it in 1980 at his Huntsville, Alabama lounge; its fame later spawned a celebrated trade-secret fight with the Jack Daniel's distillery.
