Responsible drinking
Riffed is a cocktail discovery and recipe tool. It is not a guide to safe alcohol consumption. Pay attention to your own limits, the limits of your guests, and your local laws around drinking and driving. Recipe accuracy
Recipes in Riffed come from a mix of reference sources — Wikipedia and Wikidata, the IBA's official specs, public-domain cocktail books, and, for modern drinks the public domain doesn't cover, the consensus of several independent published sources — together with recipes created by users. We make no representations about:
- The accuracy of any particular spec
- Whether a given ingredient is safe to combine with any other
- How a drink will taste, look, or affect any individual drinker
- Whether any particular recipe is suitable for a person's diet, allergies, or sensitivities
Treat every recipe as a starting point, not a prescription.
No medical or health advice
Nothing in Riffed should be construed as medical, health, dietary, or pharmacological advice. This includes:
- Recipes labeled "N/A mode" or "non-alcoholic" — these may still contain ingredients (caffeine, sugar, allergens, etc.) inappropriate for some individuals
- Recommendations and palate matches — these reflect taste similarity, not health considerations
- Any ingredient descriptions or tasting notes

Allergens and dietary restrictions
Riffed does not currently surface dedicated allergen warnings. Many cocktail recipes contain dairy, eggs, nuts, gluten, soy, or other allergens. Verify ingredient suitability for yourself and your guests before making any drink.
Third-party content
Cocktail recipes — ingredients and proportions — are not generally copyrightable. Prose descriptions and tasting notes can be: Riffed's canonical drink descriptions are written for this app, and where a published source (IBA, public-domain books, Wikipedia, etc.) informed an entry, it is cited on that drink's page. User-contributed content belongs to its authors. If you are a rights holder and believe content in Riffed infringes your work, our DMCA page has the designated agent's contact details and what a takedown notice needs to contain.
