Find something

The home screen is rows of drinks picked for a reason: recommendations tuned to your palate, what's trending, seasonal picks, and ways to explore by base spirit or style. Search is its own tab, and it understands more than names — type a drink you half-remember or a mood ("something smoky and bitter") and it meets you halfway.

Understand it

Every drink opens onto a detail page: the flavor chart, the build with exact amounts, similar drinks, and Roots — the drink's family tree, showing what it descends from and what people have made from it. The chart is the fastest way to know whether a drink is for you before you've pulled a single bottle.

Make it yours

The heart of the app. Take any drink — or a blank glass — into the editor, swap and nudge ingredients, and watch the chart move live as the drink changes character. Your version becomes its own drink, with lineage back to the original. That whole story is the Riffing guide.

Know what you can actually make

Tell Riffed what's in your bar and every drink in the app gets scored against your shelves: Make now, Riff ready (one clever substitution away), or 1 away (one bottle short). The Bar screen lists tonight's actual options in full, and shows which single bottle would unlock the most new drinks.

Log what you drink

When you drink something worth remembering — out at a bar or at home — log a pour: rate it, note it, photograph it, even record how it was actually poured. Friends see it in the Activity feed; you build a journal of what you liked and where.

Let it learn

Everything above — what you create, save, and log — feeds your palate: a flavor fingerprint drawn on the same chart as every drink, powering the recommendations that started the loop. You can see exactly which drinks shaped it, and correct it when a night out shouldn't count.

Bring people in

Add friends, share your bar so people can see what's makeable at your place, and host events where everyone's palates blend into one chart and the app plans the drinks. There's also a full non-alcoholic mode — zero-proof drinking is a first-class citizen here, not a footnote.
